On the eve of the Austrian National Day, celebrated on October 26, a deeply meaningful and symbolic news has arrived. The Federal President of Austria, Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, has honored the prominent Ukrainian painter Ivan Marchuk with a high state decoration — the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art.
This milestone serves as another vital bridge of cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and Austria, highlighting the global scale and impact of the Ukrainian master’s artistry.

It is with immense joy and pride that we share the news of Ivan Marchuk being awarded one of the most prestigious distinctions of the Republic of Austria — the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art (das Österreichische Ehrenkreuz für Wissenschaft und Kunst).

The official decree was issued by the Presidential Chancellery on behalf of the Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, following the proposal of the Federal Minister for Housing, Art, Culture, Media, and Sport.

This high state honor stands as an official acknowledgment of the Master's unique contribution to global fine arts and his enduring, inspiring dialogue with European culture.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our Master on this significant international recognition of his creative genius!
